Easter Road Trip – Pt III

Easter Road Trip – Pt III

Well, it was this time last year that I spend my Easter weekend in deep inland NSW, where the weather was beautifully icy and the township was carved from the same small country town tree.

I went along on the road trip to document everything I could see.

On a trip in to town we met a handsome scruffy-dog waiting on a bench in the street.

Back at base camp, chatter and laughing and music flowed freely.

Time magazine. What a cliche.

I hope you had a great Easter break.

Rainy Day Mountain Run – Pt II

Because it’s Easter Sat and everyone will be out and about with family of friends and enjoying this amazingly fresh weather, I thought I’d put up a picture heavy post to get you in to the season.

These are the rest of my shots from my Bello trip up in to the mountains at the beginning of this week.

Have a scroll, then go and enjoy your holiday break !

Rainy Day Mountain Run – Pt I

Rainy Day Mountain Run – Pt I

One of the places I miss the most back in NSW is Bellingen.

Rolling hills of green and blue, meadows of sunlight and cows and sheep.

With many already enjoying the April Easter break, I decided to treat myself to a few days back home, and with it a day spent in the beautiful surrounds of Bello.

It was a particularly miserable day, so of course it was ideal weather for someone who finds a greater muse in the heavy expression of weather than on any fine day.

After a romp around the main shopping village, I headed out for some body and soul food at my Uncle’s house in the mountains.

I excitedly packed explored my new old tent, a brilliant little a-frame thing that my uncle bought in ’82.

The rainy weather meant the flowers and weeds were dripping heavy and happy, and everything seemed to discover an extra pop of green.

We wandered around the orchard for some time, picking young limes and snacking on new mandarins, filling our baskets as we went.

The vegetable patch was laden with sprawling herbs and sweet potatoes.

I had fun trying out my latest find, a Kenko AF 2x Teleplus MC7 converter that I found at an op shop a few days prior. The macro ability on this thing is ridiculously insane and I can’t wait to see the results. Sometimes you stumble upon things that you would never normally set out to find, and it makes the following chase all the more exciting.

I have another post of photos to come, probably more ordered than these, but sometimes a few sporadic observations tell a greater story than the others combined.

Do you have a favourite place? Are you enjoying the change in seasons as much as I am?
