Yesterday was a good day. I put on my beanie and my sneakers, packed my camera in my bag and went for a walk to the Queensland Museum.

I found my way to the coolest section of the Museum – the dinosaurs.

With the latest find in Argentina last week, it was great to see the rebuilt skeletons and imagine just how big the ‘new guy’ would have been.

Amazing.

Next stop was the Ocean Scape.

Have you ever seen a turtle lay its eggs?

I fell in love and awe with the small dioramas they have scattered around the museum.

Brilliant.

The taxidermy sections always leave me with mixed feelings. It did inspire me to take my bird sightings and photography more seriously, for my own personal visual memoir. Hopefully it makes people realise what we have now, and what we had.

Surreal.

What beautiful animals.

I had such a great day. I took some more shots but I’ll share them later, this post it already too heavy. I hope it gives you a bit of inspiration and refreshes your muse, just like it did me.
Stranger.
