World Press Photo Exhibition
Sunday was a good day.
With the release of The World Press Photo Exhibition winners for another year, the Powerhouse Brisbane was our Sunday arts destination.
What a suburb clash of mediums that the Powerhouse creates with its graffiti splattered walls as backdrop for the traveling shows.
Elements from the past were scattered and hidden around corners as we explored the exhibition space.
There were quite a few people throughout the space, all staring captivatingly at the image they were on.
We finished our wander through the factory corridors and catacombs and decided it was time to debrief over something to eat.
With the autumn sun blazing outside, we enjoyed the fresh air and cool breeze as we walked back to the car across New Farm Park.
Our Sunday late lunch destination – Eat St Markets.
A warm dhal and freshly fried roti warmed my bones as the sky changed once again from blue to gold.
Scattered and scrolling along Portside, the markets look on as passing ships and vessels make their way slowly out to sea.
With our bellies and minds full of the day, we all turned homeward bound and bid the weekend adieu.
Make sure you see the World Press Photo Exhibition – be aware that it is not for the light of heart.
Did you have a happy Sunday?
